  Guilt trip

  did anyone have other jws try to guilt trip them when they were leaving or if you were making a decision which jws felt was wrong but wasn't unscriptural?

  i'm getting people guilt tripping me to eventually get back with my emotionally, spiritually and mentally abusive husband who i'm separated from.

  i feel sick at the thought of getting back together and putting myself through that nightmare again but i'm being told its what jehovah wants coz he doesn't want families to be apart.

  Be strong, Jrjw... would a dead relative want you to be abused? Does Jeh like abuse?

  If you were to join any other organization that said, "We promote staying in abusive relationships" and "the abuser is the one we should feel sorry for, because they will be alone.. the one who is abused and hurt, and sleepless is a terrible person".. would we actually join that organisation?

  Tithing? No, they won't "change it" they already tithe... under another name.. "write down how much you can give each month".. "put us in your will" "Your K Hall belongs to us, keep paying even tho it is paid off"

  If they got rid of DFing & SHUNNING... many would leave w/o the fear of loss.... and so many would "talk" w/o threat.

  WT might go way down... maybe not disappear.

  Why did the Governing Body come behind the curtain?

  in the movie the wizard of oz, while the whole yellow brick road gang was being addressed by the great and powerful wizard of oz, the dog toto ran off to the side, pulled back on a curtain, and showed that a normal-looking humbug of a person was operating cranks and levers.

  for a short while, the normal-looking man kept yanking levers and cranking cranks, and said into the microphone (which made the great and powerful wizard speak the same words) "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!

  I agree, I felt the same way. When young, "A Governing Body member" was a mysterious phrase.... I hardly knew what they did, or who they were, but the more we see them, the more 'human' they are. I thought of the same comparison you did, to the Wizard of OZ!

  Perhaps the organization is trying to get rid of them! Delete all liabilities, and live the good life!

  Many victims do not know that there are others in the same circumstance, that WT is keeping it's secrets hidden as best as possible. Once these documents are read, "the curtain will have been drawn back" and people will be able to see the 'wizards' as just old men.

  My husband has been talking to the CART people, telling them, "you are going to hear disturbing news regarding the WT that were hidden from me also" and "I just want to let you know, when you find these things out, there is life beyond Jehovah's Witnesses" Now, just a few days later, here it is!

  The way the WT's brain works is being "Revealed " once again.

  Thank the brave people who had a conscience, and could no longer permit these atrocities to continue.

  Wow! If I lived in NY, I would be on it!!! Videoing cars going in / out, hopping fences (haha) .... I would so love to get the bottom line on them! That is truly sad when WT asks for "ice cream money" and "the widow's last coin" when she has no food in the fridge.

  it is difficult for me to say exactly what i mean on this subject.

  my sister sent me a link to the oct, 2017 wt simplified article (which has been discussed about the shunning) and i found it disturbing of course, how the wt gives advice, different for each sex, along with the "unbelieving" mate dissing.. wt - although an unbelieving husband may not take the lead in spiritual matters, he should be respected because of his position as the head of the family.

  likewise, an unbelieving wife should be shown self-sacrificing love and tender affection by her christian husband.—eph.
